Has it really been so long since I last posted? Actually, I thought it was much longer. Lots and lots has happened since then, but won't bore you with the deets.
Gavin started 1st grade in August. Little man seems to like it more than he did Kindergarten. I think it's the structure- whatever it is, mommy really likes. Jeff branched out on his own as a real estate agent. So far, he's doing well- keeping busy and trying to get new clients. SO- if you live in the Atlanta and are looking to sell or buy a home, just let me know!
We went to Charleston, South Carolina a week or so ago to visit with Brother Joe. Very nice trip- boat ride, turtle viewing, behind-the-scenes Carolina Aquarium tour, lots of walks...all in all, no complaints.
Football season is making up for the lack of hockey this year, but still miss the boys in Atlanta. Trying to get into the Gladiators, but it's just not NHL hockey.
Any-hoodle, things are good, life is good- definitely looking forward to the cooler weather!!!

Happy Happy Year
The holidays have come and gone, I always get a little nostalgic during that time, then, when they're over, a little sad. Yes, I have finally accepted my geek-self and can admit, like an adult, that I like cheesy, sappy Christmas music and all the accoutrement that goes with it!
On another note...ok...I am so tired of all the negative articles written about Atlanta sports fans. We lost our hockey team and the fans got blamed for lack of success. The other day, an ESPN writer said our football fans (go Falcons) didn't deserve to win a playoff game. Well, he got his wish, thanks Jack.
Fortunately, it was followed by another writer who countered that article.
Regardless, the first article isn't the first. When we lost our beloved Thrashers, the Canadians took the opportunity to spear us as fans, or, lack thereof.
I wish people would stop pointing fingers and just get over it. A fan is a fan, yes, there are certainly levels of fan-dom, but please, is it really worth throwing insults at an entire group?
Ok, off soap box...moving on.
